Good Trouble Lives On:
National Day of Action
An Alabama Event Produced
in Association with the
National Day of Action

6:30 - 8 pm CT, Thursday July 17
Offered Virtually Via Zoom
Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
The League of Women Voters of Alabama, NAACP Alabama Conference, Black Voters Matter Fund Alabama and the Southern Poverty Law Center of Alabama are co-hosting a virtual forum on July 17 to laser focus on the (still emerging) Alabama-specific threats of the Executive and Congressional actions on the following topics:
Food Insecurity/Healthcare (Debbie Smith; Alabama Arise)
Environmental Infrastructure (Sherry Bradley; Black Belt Unincorporated WWP Advisor)
Humanities/Arts (Dani Parmar; Executive Director InToto Creative Arts Forum)
Education/Accessibility (Brock Boone, SPLC staff attorney)
Voting Rights (Nick Steiner, SPLC Voting Rights attorney)
This is more than a learning event; it’s a moral reckoning for Alabama. A continuation of the movement Lewis helped lead, and a new front in the struggle for freedom.
