Absentee Ballots must be printed and available in the CITY CLERK’S OFFICE (or the equivalent) at City Hall.  They will not be in the Circuit Clerk’s office at the County Courthouse, as would be the case in all other elections.

Registered voters may apply for an absentee ballot by mail to the City Clerk’s office, or may cast their absentee ballot in person at City Hall.  Voters will be asked to present an approved picture ID and to complete a form indicating the reason the absentee ballot is needed.

Last day to register to vote in time for the municipal election.  Registration forms available at County Board of Registrars, DMV, at libraries, and probably city hall for this election. A voter who is duly registered may vote in any election in his/her designated district. 
Changes of address should also be completed to avoid the risk having to cast a provisional ballot at the polls.

Last day to request an absentee ballot by mail for the August 23rd municipal election.
Contact the City Clerk’s office.  Upon receipt, the absentee ballot should be completed and returned immediately to ensure its timely arrival at City Hall.
