We are glad that you are considering membership in the League of Women Voters of Alabama or are continuing your membership. We are a grassroots organization. Our efforts to "make democracy work" can only be successful with your help!

Local League Membership

Please note that local League membership is available for those living in or near the following Alabama communities: Baldwin County, Mobile County, Tuscaloosa County, Lee/Russell Counties, Montgomery County, or Jefferson/Shelby Counties. Membership in a local League includes membership in the local League, state League (LWVAL) and national League (LWVUS). In addition to supporting state and national League efforts, local Leagues focus on issues in the local community, too. If you live in or near one of these communities, please contact your local League to pay your dues or for further membership information.

Membership-At-Large

If you do not live near one of our local League communities, Membership-At-Large (MAL) is for you. Membership-At-Large includes membership in the state League (LWVAL) and the national League (LWVUS). Members-at-Large are informed about state and national League issues and encouraged to participate in these projects.

If MAL membership in the League of Women Voters of Alabama is for you, we hope you will join us! Please pay your MAL dues according to your preferred membership type as described in the table below.

Individual For one person $40
Family For two people in the same household $60
Student For a student enrolled in college or university $20
