Whether volunteering for the LWVAL or your Local League, you serve your community, increase voter engagement in Alabama, improve our elections, and protect our democracy.
LWVAL Volunteer Opportunities
There are often opportunities for local league members to plug into state work. If any of these sound interesting, contact the state board member listed for more information.
Don't forget to contact your Local League to see what volunteer opportunities are available locally.

LWVAL Communications Committee
Skills Needed:
No special skills are necessarily required. An interest in any of these activities is a good thing: writing, taking photos, creating graphics, editing, general communication strategy, and reporting from local leagues. It would be great to have a couple of volunteers who have some skill in website maintenance.
The Work:
Volunteers will write and publish the League monthly newsletter, assist with the writing and posting of social media posts; create member/interest group communications related to calls to action, training events, surveys, press releases, etc; and assist with website edits.
