for Citizens of Alabama
Are you eligible to vote in
Alabama? You must...
- Be
a United States Citizen
- Live
in Alabama
- Be
at least 18 years old
- Not
be barred from voting by reason of a felony conviction of a felony (If
you are, you can apply to have your voting rights restored.)
- Not
have been legally declared "mentally incompetent" by a court
- Swear
or affirm to "support and defend the Constitution of the U.S. and the
State of Alabama and further disavow any belief or affiliation with any
group which advocates the overthrow of the governments of the U. S. or
the State of Alabama by unlawful means and that the information
contained herein is true, so help me God."

Did you know that....?
- Voter
registration is permanent in Alabama so long as you remain in the same
residence.
- You
may register to vote the same day you move to Alabama - no required
time delay.
- If
you have not registered to vote and you wish to vote in a particular
election, you must submit your voter registration application
at least 10 days prior to the election.
- You
do not have to declare affiliation with a political party.
- You
are required to bring identification to the polls when you vote - every
time!
- If
you will be turning 18 after the voter registration deadline but before
the election, you may still register to vote and vote in that election
so long as you meet all other Alabama voter registration requirements.
