WELCOME	We look forward to seeing you at the LWVAL 2001 State Convention, Saturday, May 5, 2001-Sunday, May 6, 2001! Information below outlines arrangements for convention participants.
HOST SITE	Tutwiler Hotel 2000 Park Place North Birmingham, Alabama 35203 Located in the heart of Birmingham's downtown community, the Tutwiler is Alabama's only historic FOUR-STAR, FOUR-DIAMOND hotel and has been dubbed the "Home of Southern hospitality".
REGISTRATION (Get Registration Form)	FULL REGISTRATION DEADLINE APRIL 15, 2001--$65. Includes meeting, materials, luncheon, and banquet, hospitality suite. Late Registration - April 16-May 1,2001--$75 After April 30-- only meeting registration accepted-$30 (no meals included) ONE DAY REGISTRATION Saturday, May 6, 2001 (includes lunch)- By 4/15/01 - $35 4/16-4/30/01 - $45 After 4/30/01 - $15 (no meals) Sunday, May 7, 2001 By 4/15/01 - -$15 After 4/15/01 - $20 (Meeting Adjourns Sunday Noon)
HOTEL RESERVATION	Each delegate/member is responsible for making his/her own hotel reservation by April 4, 2001. (1-800-996-3426) The cost of the hotel room is not included in the registration fee. Any guest room changes, cancellations are the delegate/members' responsibility and must be made directly with the hotel. A room block is being held at the Tutwiler Hotel for the LWVALConvention participants at the preferred rate of $109 single/double plus tax. Parking is available to hotel guests-$15/valet--$7.50/Event (i.e. banquet only) Call 1-800-996-3426 or (205) 322-2100 for reservations. The Tutwiler must be contacted no later than April 4, 2001 to receive the group discount room rate. After that date, LWVAL room block will be released and all subsequent reservations will be subject to room and rate availability. Only a limited number of rooms are furnished with two double beds; therefore, when making reservations, please specify if two double beds are preferred. Check in time is after 3PM. Check out time is by 12:00 noon. Cancellations for individual reservations will be accepted by the Tutwiler Hotel up to 24 hours prior to arrival.
MEALS	DINE AROUND: Friday, May 4, 2001 Local league (LVWGB) will provide restaurant suggestions and transportation for those interested. This is an opportunity to dine together and socialize!! LUNCHEON: Saturday, May 5, 2001, Noon Buffet Speaker : Scott Stantis, Editorial Cartoonist for the Birmingham News BANQUET: Saturday, May 5, 2001 Cash Bar-6:30-7:00 PM Dinner- 7:00 PM Keynote Speaker: Dr. Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins, President, LWVUS Additional banquet tickets available for guests @ $38 each(until-4/30)
