     Women in Politics

In recognition of Women's History month, in March, LWVGT sponsored a discussion with Tuscaloosa City Councilwoman Cynthia Almond on her experiences running for political office and working with a city council dominated by men.  Both informative and enlightening, it was enjoyed by all and was a great way to celebrate the success of women in electoral politics.

Not All Work and No Play

Each month that contains a fifth Tuesday is reserved for a LWVGT social event. These events provide a wonderful
opportunity for us to relax and revive the spirit of our membership.  They also provide an opportunity to invite potential
members to join us as we get to know each other better in this enjoyable setting.
