Synopsis and Analysis : This bill requires equal pay for substantially similar work, regardless of the gender of the employee.  It allows the employer to demonstrate reasonable explanations for wage differential.  It prohibits retaliation for complaints of violation of this statute.


League Action and Justification: Support. LWVAL supports this legislation based on LWVUS position.
