Auburn has a mayor and eight council members who serve four-year terms.
The mayor serves as council president and presiding officer.
The Auburn city council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each
month at 7:30 pm in the Council Chamber of the Auburn Police Department
on 141 North Ross Street. Committee of the Whole meetings are generally
held prior to the regular meetings.

AUBURN BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Auburn Board of Education members are appointed to five-year
staggered terms by the City Council. The Board appoints the
Superintendent.
The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Auburn High School Multimedia Room.

with the next election in 2004.
